Refunds & Returns Policy

While we strive to provide quality photography services, we do realize that there will be rare occasions where you (the client) may need to request an exchange, return, or refund. Please review the following for information on these special situations.

Use of our services is offered to you on your acceptance of this REFUND & RETURNS POLICY as well as our GENERAL TERMS & CONDITIONS as described on our website (visit www.utopia-photo.com/terms-conditions). If you do not agree to be bound by and comply with all of the foregoing, you may not access or use our services.

utopia Photography shall have the right, at its sole discretion, to modify, add, or remove any terms or conditions of this REFUNDS & RETURNS POLICY without notice or liability to you. Any changes to this REFUNDS & RETURNS POLICY shall be effectively immediately following the posting of such changes on this website. The most recent version of this REFUNDS & RETURNS POLICY is always available via our website. You agree to review this REFUNDS & RETURNS POLICY from time to time and agree that any subsequent use by you of this website following changes to this REFUNDS & RETURNS POLICY shall constitute your acceptance of all such changes. This REFUNDS & RETURNS POLICY was last modified on July 20, 2009.

Transfers & Exchanges

Transfers and exchanges are generally accepted on products and services provided by us. We are unable to transfer or exchange services already rendered. Transfers and exchanges are subject to any service and/or administrative fees assessed as described in your contract(s) with utopia Photography. Such fees will be assessed and deducted prior to the transfer/exchange. Transfers and exchanges will be provided if the service has not been rendered. Exchanges are provided on products if the product is defective or damaged during shipping from utopia Photography to the recipient.

Refunds

Refunds are generally not provided on service and administrative fees; however, defective products such as prints and albums may be subject to a refund if we are unable to exchange the item(s). Please review the below for specific information regarding refunds.

Deposits: To book an appointment, we require a deposit, normally a portion of the entire cost of the service. This deposit ensures proper scheduling, resource commitment, and administrative fees. Deposits are not refundable under any circumstance. Deposits are transferable, less any administrative fees, late fees, or balances owed, if the new appointment is set no later than 30 days from the day of the original appointment. Deposits are not transferable or refundable after 30 days from the date of the original appointment.

Administrative Fees: Our secure online payment system is in place to expedite your order while lowering administrative overhead costs. Since an administrative fee is normally assessed on services and payments processed offline, such fee is non-refundable under any circumstance.

Services: Refunds are not available for any service rendered. We are also not responsible for the quality of any service to a violation of our GENERAL TERMS & AGREEMENTS or any other written agreement between us (meaning you and utopia Photography). We will not provide refunds for situations beyond our control such as an Act of God or service requests that are outside of our contract/service agreement.

Products: Products may be returned for a full refund, if the following criteria is met. We will refund all shipping costs up to USD $20.00 using method of choice (selected by utopia Photography). Please review the following criteria:

Prior to refund approval, we have the right to attempt to rectify the situation by issuing an exchange for an identical product or product of similar value. If we are unable to provide you an even exchange after two (2) attempts, a refund will be issued, assuming the criteria below has been met as well.

The initial return date must be within thirty (30) days of receipt.

The return item(s) must be defective.

The return item(s) must be shipped to our address within seven (7) business days following the return claim.

Return item(s) must be returned with original packaging and packed securely so that contents are not damaged during shipping. (This ensures proper credit from our providers for warranty claims, etc.)
