Mini Sessions are Booked

Thank you all who emailed or called me, because in under two days, I have completely booked all the mini session time slots. What I thought would take a week, took days... wow. I'm blown away. Suffice it to say, we will be doing this again. I'm not sure if I can handle doing it again in 2008 but we plan do it sometime again next year. If you did not get in, but would like to, the best I can do right now is add you to the wait list. I promise to call you if there are any cancellations. Please email me if you would like to be included on that list.

Here are some images while I have you here...

Remember this little one from my email blast?

She has a new baby sister...

Mini Sessions Are Here!!!

So if you need a session, your answer has arrived. To commemorate our new partnership and to celebrate their grand opening, The Growing Nest and I are holding mini sessions for one day only! Here's how it will work:

Location: The Growing Nest in Ward Warehouse
Date: October 12, 2008 (Sunday)
Time: 9am till 4pm or until I drop.

15 -20 minutes each
1 child only ( you can schedule consecutive sessions for siblings - upon availability)
6 months - teens
10- 15 images posted on an online gallery within 1 week of the event.
includes 1 (5x7) of your choice
All for only $90

All Utopia specialty items will be available ala carte including prints, Holiday cards, and canvases at regular prices.

Because of limited availability, sessions will be scheduled on a first come, first served basis.
I will be able to fit in approximately 12-15 session only.

Just a note, these sessions will be shot digitally. I will shoot digital for mini sessions only. Images will be offered in black and white.

Please call or email me to schedule your mini session. Please don't wait, as the day will be booked within a week or two.

If all works out, we may plan to do another one next year. I love working with Jen at The Growing Nest.

I'm excited!!!

Call me a liar.

So, I said the next post would be soon and I lied. I'm not proud of myself either but life has been rockin and rollin over in the Uesugi household and I couldn't help myself. I mean, I also know you guys were not sitting on pins and needles anyway but if I said, I should have. Sorry. Couple of announcements before images:

Projectfocus was a huge success! Thank you to all of you that helped us support it. We couldn't have done it without you. You guys rock. You can see the updated site ( with full gallery ) and candids from the opening event soon. As soon as I light that fire under the tech guy's butt. I can say that because it's my husband. ;) The link to the site is on your right.

Some Utopia related stuff:

I am totally and crazily booked solid for the holiday season. Thank you to all of you that called early and booked. It is so flattering to know that you think of me early in the year. For all of you that didn't book but still want to - read on a bit further, there is an alternative.

I will be out of the studio from September 10 through September 16th. The studio will still be open for pick ups and the girls are still working so everything will be rolling along anyway. I will also still answer emails and calls.

I will also be out of the studio from October 2nd till October 11th. I may be slower to get to emails and calls on this one because I'll be in DC watching my son compete in a National Science thing. Please send science vibes my son's way. He needs all the vibes he can get.

The only clients that I will still book are babies under 10 days old. If you know of anyone, please tell them to call me so we can book a "flex" session date around the due date.

Ok, my big announcement: I will be starting a very exciting partnership with The Growing Nest!!! It is a new store slated to open mid September in Ward Warehouse. It is shabby chic for little ones and maternity. I already got a sneak peek and it's going to be a-maz-ing! You will see four huge panels of my work hung in the front windows too. Yay! I am going to post a whole new entry about an exciting offer to celebrate our new partnership. I'll post that today so I don't flake.

I haven't forgotten Cathy over at Makana Mother and Baby. I am still in love with the store (and Cathy) and always will be. I have a few other ideas to work out with her for the holiday season so I'll blog about that soon as well.

So I've blathered about long enough. Here are a bunch of cuties:

Two of my favorite boys:

We had fun picking puka shells:

Loved so many from this session. It was hard to narrow this one down.

Annie is taking a vacation from tips for this blog but I know she has some in her pocket for next time though.
